I Got Luckyblessed!

Sweet friend, Heather, assures me we need to blog this!
Tonight was a really fun Relief Society meeting.
We used the concept of Speed Dating
and Speed Chatted, instead

Three minutes to ask and answer questions
BING!  Move to the right

That was lucky enough
Then in the middle Heather approaches me and says she has something for me

What?

Look at that necklace
Is has "LD-style" written all over it
Big, rich colors, substantial, interesting textures
Darn cute
It is too heavy for Heather's injury fragile neck
While I'm sorry to hear that it hurts her neck
I am feeling double luckyblessed to be the recipient of her generosity
It even matches my clothing of the night
THANK YOU sharing friend!

I wasn't done being luckyblessed
My name got pulled out of the ticket pile
to receive a beautiful notepad for listing making

(Hurrah.... I love list making.  Like I said Sunday in my lesson, I'm writing down "kept her first estate" so I can immediately have something to check off!  Whew. One down, one to go.)

Oh I digress

Let's get a closer look at the decor

Isn't that a beauty!
Isn't Heather amazing?

Oh bummer....they started their drive back to Arizona today

The week with the Clawson visit zoomed by super fast
We did fit in some play time though

Maliah and Kyrick
people-ing their own little worlds without end

Water color experiment

Maliah's mommy said "off with the shirt" so it wouldn't get stained with paint
Using scratch paper leftover from my work
it is interesting to me that Maliah
chose to boundary her own whimsical water color art within the frame designs on the scratch paper
and such a variety of colors she chose

Kyrick filled several papers with his color experiments

Very happy and focused in his play

I bought some thick clear plastic yardage at Walmart
for a table cover
Great investment for a project like this!
Scarf time
Out come the Kool-Aid dyed scarves
We did some juggling and some tossing.......then some dress up
Is that you, Nephi?
Yes, you are totally sweet

Later, he did some bull fighting moves with a bright red scarf

A stylin' outfit for Maliah
where she picked a scarf color that matched her own shirt

Sure was a blessing to have this family visit
We read all the "Carl" books
managed to convince Maliah that the high chair was The Princess Chair
wrestled with the stuffed dogs
and enjoyed sweet hugs
Come again

The phrase below was supposed to be under the bare-chested painter girleero....it got stuck here at the end and won't move.....hm-m-m-m
No problem.......til she becomes a teen.....then she's going to hate this carefree captured moment

My own little triumph

To present myself with piles of tubes, bags of screws and an instruction sheet
is my idea of torture

Feels like geometry trauma from junior high . . .  a stretch and stumble for my multi-variant brain

I persist

I surprise myself
Witness
a rainbow of art supply drawers in service
Applause . . . yes
